Welcome Baby is a one-time celebratory home visit for parents with newborns through 6 months of age. Our Welcome Baby Home Visitors bring congratulations on the arrival of your new baby and reinforce the importance of reading and talking with your baby for a child’s healthy development and school readiness. Families receive a beautiful WB gift bag filled with
- a handmade blanket,
- baby care essentials,
- and books for baby, siblings, and parents.
Welcome Baby Home Visitors introduce and connect parents to community resources parents may need to give their child the best possible start for success in life. WB Home Visitors will re-connect again to check-in your family’s parenting journey, babies’ development and offer opportunities for you to meet other parents in your community.
WB visits are available in English, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Kriolu, and Spanish.
Currently, Welcome Baby visits are happening by phone or meeting at outside places, weather permitting. WB gift bags can be picked up or delivered by your Welcome Baby Home Visitor.
